The Phoebe Foundation Africa (PFA) Executive Director together with Ndola and Chililabombwe PFA Nest Centre leaders visited a sick child suffering from hydrocephalus. Beautiful Abigail is a member from the PFA George Nest Centre in Ndola aged 11years old, she lives with her mother and father and three siblings in a one roomed tiny mud house a family of six members. Hydrocephalus is the buildup of fluid in cavities called ventricles deep within the brain. The excess fluid increases the size of the ventricles and puts pressure on the brain. Some of the common symptoms of hydrocephalus are:
*Trouble walking (often described as shuffling)
*Enlargement of a toddler’s head
*Problems with muscle tone and strength.
*Blurred or double vision.
*Eye movements that are not usual.
The Phoebe Foundation Africa ED thanked the couple from the United States of America who are both founders of Mapalo Counseling Ministries and Africa Impact Project for their support for Abigail and her family to reach out to their needs for Abigail’s health and the betterment of the family through their friends Mrs. Jennipher and Mr. Chris Kennedy by being the hands and feet’s of Jesus on earth . Abigail Kalala was due for review in 2022 her last hospital visit to Lusaka was in 2019, every after three years Abigail is scheduled to go for a hospital review but because the family had no means they couldn’t but now with the help of God sent Angels on earth waiting for a hospital visit is now over .
Abigail really loves school and she wants to be a teacher.
